With a passion for creating music that unites disciplines, Nick’s work reflects both technical mastery and a commitment to meaningful artistry by bridging music and social impact.

Earning a Masters Degree in Music Composition from The Juilliard School, where he honed his craft under the guidance of Pulitzer-Prize winning composer Melinda Wagner and received an Entrepreneurship Award at the height of the Pandemic, his global artistic perspective has been shaped by transformative residencies, including the legendary EAMA Nadia Boulanger Summer Institute in Paris and serving as Composer-in-Residence for Community Arts Tokyo under acclaimed musician and director Roger Lowther.

As founder of That One Ensemble, Nick leads a hybrid arts and social impact organization dedicated to addressing societal shortfalls through boundary-pushing creative initiatives. Right now, TOE is building the first orchestra that hires, trains, and rehabilitates individuals impacted by homelessness in New York City.

Nick Marsella is a composer and artist-entrepreneur based in NYC.
